2023 Fundraiser: Asian Pacific Community Counseling
Asian Pacific Community Counseling (APCC) is a non-profit that provides culturally and linguistically relevant mental health services for persons of Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Their services include outreach, education, therapy, recovery support, and prevention.
2022 Fundraiser: My Sister's House + Changing Tides
2022's festival supported two wonderful organizations providing vital health services for the Asian American and API communities. Each of their culturally responsive and accessible resources for community members impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and mental health adversities have been crucial in uplifting, educating, and protecting the community.
My Sister's House is a non-profit which aims to serve Asian and Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing a culturally appropriate and responsive safe haven, job training, and community services.
Changing Tides is a program of the Little Tokyo Service Center, a non-profit based in Los Angeles, that focused on ending the stigma surrounding mental health within the Japanese American and broader Asian American community. The organization offers counseling services and raises awareness to promote conversation in the face of mental health adversity.

2021 Fundraiser: Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
With the devastating impact of COVID-19 on food insecurity and economic inequality, we stand together to support the efforts of Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services providing food and necessary services for our neighbors in Sacramento County. Proceeds from our 2021 Festival Box orders and direct donations will go to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services this year.
"At Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS), we are part of a broader vision and mission where all people can live their best life. To address the socioeconomic issues that we face as a county, it requires an understanding of how we can individually—and collectively—work toward positive change.
Here, positive change starts with a steadfast belief that every life has worth, that every human being should be valued equally and fully. When we treat the clients we serve with dignity and respect, we remove the shame and fear that frequently comes with their circumstances and open the door to self-sufficiency on the road ahead."

2020 Fundraiser: Tsuru for Solidarity
Recognizing the important legacy of the Japanese American Incarceration, we lend our support to the Sacramento Chapter of the grassroots Tsuru for Solidarity movement, working to alleviate suffering, separation, and confinement of refugee and immigrant communities. We recognize a long history of injustice toward immigrant communities in the United States, and we seek just and compassionate reforms that affirm the inherent worth of all people in an interconnected world. This year, part of the proceeds from beer, food, and artist sales will go to our charity partner, and direct donations can be made at the event or on their linked website.
"Tsuru for Solidarity is a nonviolent, direct action project of Japanese American social justice advocates working to end detention sites and support front-line immigrant and refugee communities that are being targeted by racist, inhumane immigration policies. We stand on the moral authority of Japanese Americans who suffered the atrocities and legacy of U.S. concentration camps during WWII and we say, 'Stop Repeating History!'" |
Despite the cancellation due to COVID-19, Sudwerk had a limited can release of Hanami Haze, raising money for our charity.

2018 Fundraiser: Pallets in Puerto RicoWhile we celebrate the beauty of nature with the coming of spring, we also recognize the power and destruction it can bring. This past summer, hurricanes Irma and Maria wrecked havoc on the islands of Puerto Rico. In this interconnected world, we must recognize that our actions have an effect on both climate and society. Our decisions can have long-lasting consequences, both locally and globally. When suffering presents itself in the world, we are called to action to help relieve it. Our hearts go out to those affected, but so too do our hands.
This year, the proceeds earned from beer sales and donations at a the festival will go to hurricane relief efforts through Pallets in Puerto Rico, a fundraising campaign through the Puerto Rico Agenda in Chicago. The musicians and artists who share their sounds and visions with us at the festival are graciously donating their time and talent for this cause. Join us as we come together for brighter future for Puerto Rico and the global community. |
